With the proliferation of information on the web, why are students in a textbook rather constructing knowledge through online resources? Couldn’t we agree that textbooks are, in fact, ancient the day they are published? Can’t teachers become the ultimate facilitators that help students construct meaning from online content? Why are there not more educators willing to make this pedagogical shift thus changing how kids think and approach their own learning? Are superintendents, principals, lets say administration at large, seeing the future of education, or are the high stakes tests, funding, and other upper tier issues clouding the future vision of education? There are more questions than answers. We need answers.
